You can cleanse  and detox your body simply by eating right. In the warm spring and summer months, make sure you get lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and of course sun light. Here is what I like to use myself during spring and summer months:

1.Make a delicious juice or a smoothie daily (use fruits or veggies in season). For a fresh and simple juice you can blend cucumber, spinach and melon or melon and fresh mint leaves. I love this combination because it is fresh and cooling.

2.Use turmeric powder in your hot dishes. Add turmeric in your rice while it cooks, your veggies or soups. Turmeric is a great anti-inflammatory spice and a powerful liver cleanser. I use turmeric every day.

3.Broccoli is a great source of vitamin K and super easy to prepare. Steam or stir-fry broccoli and add it to other veggies or have it as a side dish. Sprinkle olive oil and sea salt and enjoy this great vegetable.

4.Cherries are one of my favorite fruits, and I cannot get enough of them. Go for the dark red ones, they are loaded with anti-oxidants and fiber.

5.Spinach is a great spring and summer vegetable, full of iron. Eat it raw in salads or stir-fry it with garlic or onion, sea salt and add lemon juice on top. I like to add spinach to my smoothies at times too.

Try to avoid “no-eating” cleanses where all you have is liquid. It will leave you feel hungry and tired. Cleanse your body with healthy foods to energize you and make you feel lighter, cleaner and happier!
